Senior Civil Structural Engineer

Seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer with strong experience in large industrial construction, particularly concrete and steel structures. This role is responsible for the engineering, design oversight, and execution of civil and structural systems critical to major energy and infrastructure projects. The position involves providing technical leadership, supporting construction activities, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Lead the civil and structural scope on large industrial and energy infrastructure projects. Oversee the design and construction of foundations, piling, reinforced concrete, and structural steel systems. Review and validate drawings, specifications, and calculations for accuracy and compliance. Provide site engineering support during preparation, erection, and commissioning phases. Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (ACI, AISC, ASCE, and local regulations). Collaborate with project management, contractors, and cross-discipline engineering teams. Conduct technical reviews, risk assessments, and constructability evaluations. Monitor contractor performance on quality, safety, schedule, and cost. Serve as a subject matter resource for resolving complex structural issues during execution. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. 7–10 years of experience in civil/structural engineering for heavy industrial, power, or energy projects. Expertise in concrete and steel design, geotechnical considerations, and structural analysis. Demonstrated success supporting and managing large construction projects. Proficiency with analysis and design tools (e.g., STAAD, SAP2000, ETABS, AutoCAD). Strong knowledge of EPC construction practices and project delivery models. Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills. Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or equivalent strongly preferred. Preferred Skills Experience with heavy equipment foundations (e.g., turbines, engines, generators). Familiarity with permitting and construction regulations for industrial/energy projects.
