This position requires an experienced professional with a deep knowledge of structural joining solutions, focusing on adhesives. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and validate state of the art structural joining solutions, specializing in adhesives

Specify pre-treatment and process specifications for various structural adhesive solutions

Evaluate & implement adhesive materials to improve module attributes

Coordinate CAE and physical validation testing

Qualifications

A proven track of record in developing exceptional structural adhesive and joining solutions

Knowledge of pre-treatment and adhesive systems for aluminum and multi material structures

Experience of mechanical joining methods – flow drill, SPR, rivet and welding systems

In-depth knowledge of aluminum and steel alloys as well as polymer materials

A self-driven approach to pushing the limits of engineering, and develop technologies

Preferred

Experience with Catia V5/V6 is preferred but not essential

Education Bachelor's in mechanical engineering with 5 years of experience; A masters with 3 years of experience or a PhD.

Compensation and Benefits Salary Range : The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

Base Pay Range (Annual) : $140,000 - $192,500 USD

Additional Compensation and Benefits : Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
