Structural Steel Estimator

will be responsible for analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for structural steel projects. This role requires a deep understanding of construction processes, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams. Key Responsibilities

Blueprint Analysis: Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project requirements to determine the scope of work. Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment needed for structural steel projects. Proposal Development: Create and present comprehensive project proposals, including cost breakdowns and timelines. Vendor Relations: Communicate with suppliers to obtain pricing for materials and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality. Bid Preparation: Compile and submit competitive bids, ensuring all necessary documentation is included. Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure estimates align with project goals and budgets. Risk Assessment: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Market Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and competitive pricing to ensure accurate and competitive estimates. Client Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with clients throughout the estimation process. Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in structural steel estimating or a similar role. Technical Skills: Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, AutoCAD) and strong mathematical and analytical skills. Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction processes, materials, and industry standards. Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail in preparing estimates and documentation. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly. Time Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
