Professional level sales position capable of supporting advanced functions on the commercial side of the business. Responsible for profitable growth of the commercial business via customer retention and growth. Partners with GM to manage Team Members. Requires expert knowledge of automotive systems and parts. Ability to source from various channels including special order, FDO, second source, etc. Directs drivers to ensure timely and accurate delivery. Position is full time. Primary Responsibilities
Maintain commercial customer relationships Provide GAS2 selling experience to commercial customers Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives Support daily supervision of Team Members Collaborate with GM on coaching and development Dispatch drivers to meet delivery standards Maintain commercial stocking programs Build and maintain a network of second source suppliers Secondary Responsibilities
Maintain core bank and commercial returns Manage commercial credit accounts Partner with GM for driver coverage Success Factors
Friendly communication Parts locating and stocking skills Safety knowledge Operating inventory systems and store equipment Automotive system knowledge Operating POS and parts lookup systems ASE P2 certification or equivalent Advanced solution and product recommendation skills Proficiency in sourcing parts from multiple channels Advanced selling skills for commercial customers Multi-tasking and organizational skills Essential Job Skills
Knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostics Effective communication in English (Spanish is a plus) Ability to interpret safety rules, manuals, and catalogs Complete Parts Knowledge Assessment successfully Basic math skills Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel Strong organizational skills Understanding of commercial profitability concepts Flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends Prior Experience
Minimum of 3 years automotive parts experience preferred. Proven sales ability and team leadership experience are advantageous. Education
High school diploma or GED required. Certificates and Licenses
ASE Certification preferred but not required. Physical Demands
Primarily walking, standing, talking, hearing, handling, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Must lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Visual acuity required. Work Environment
Mostly inside work, occasionally outside in various weather conditions. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, electrical hazards, and noise. Moderate noise level. Position is eligible for sales commission based on performance. Additional Information
