Overview

Post Doc Fellow, College of Medicine, Environmental and Public Health Sciences. Full-time position in the Department of Environmental and Public Health Sciences at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. The laboratory collaboration includes David S. Newburg and Ardythe Morrow. The laboratory uses an Agilent QQQ for LC-MS analysis of bioactive carbohydrates and free fatty acids, and cell culture to assess bioactivity. Responsibilities

Conduct research experiments in mucosal immunology, pro-inflammatory signaling, extracellular vesicles, anaerobic fermentation by intestinal microbiota, and instrumental analysis of human milk components. Gather and analyze data and develop new ideas. Prepare data summaries, reports, manuscripts, and other presentations of research results. Participate in manuscript writing for publication in scientific journals and/or presentation; may assist in grant writing. Keep informed of developments in the field to maintain and enhance professional expertise. Lab maintenance, including equipment maintenance and ordering of supplies, as needed. May teach techniques to others, train, and mentor junior research staff. Engage in appropriate training and professional development opportunities. Play an active role in seeking career and research advice from the faculty supervisor and other faculty members. Perform related duties based on departmental need. Doctoral Degree in chemical or biomedical sciences. Additional Qualifications Considered
