The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As A(n) Product Engineer, You Will Have The Opportunity To Tap Into Your Curiosity And Collaborate With Some Of The Most Innovative People Around The World. Here, You Will Make An Impact By Performs and guides approved self-initiated or assigned programs of major importance to the assigned organization leading to and/or supporting innovative applications and extensions of new and existing technologies, products and/or businesses. Lead and support the implementation and scale-up of new technologies, ensuring seamless integration into manufacturing. Provide technical support to maintain and troubleshoot current technologies, resolving issues to minimize downtime. Manage and execute product and technology transfers across manufacturing lines and locations, ensuring efficiency and quality standards are met. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, quality, and operations to deliver business objectives. Apply statistical thinking and data analysis tools to evaluate processes, identify improvements, and drive performance. Strong background in extrusion, microreplication, adhesive coating, and converting processes (planetary and level wound). Proficiency in statistical analysis tools such as Minitab, Excel, and PowerPoint. Demonstrated ability to problem-solve complex technical challenges. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams and geographies. Opportunity to interface with customers to ensure technical success of customer projects. Your Skills And Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or science field (completed and verified prior to start). Two (2) years of experience in scale-up and technology transfer in a manufacturing environment in a private, public, government or military environment. Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Experience in scale-up and technology transfer in a manufacturing environment. This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN. Travel:
