We are currently seeking a highly motivated
Structural Engineer
located in Los Angeles, CA.
Required Education
Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor's degree, preferably in Structural Engineering and courses in management.
Education may be waived with extensive experience and a valid Certificate of Registration as a Professional Structural Engineer.
Required Certifications/Licenses
Valid Certificate of Registration as a Professional Engineer in Structural Engineering issued by the California State Board of Registration of Civil and Professional Engineers (must be kept valid during employment).
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of full-time paid professional experience in managing structural aspects in commercial, public, or educational facility construction projects.
Responsibilities
Make recommendations, consult with, and give technical direction to architects or structural engineers.
Provide technical direction to lower-level staff in the Structural Engineering Unit.
Evaluate plans and specifications submitted by structural engineers.
Submit provisions for commissioning, including structural recommendations.
Support the planning and maintenance of structural engineering guidelines.
Assist in developing District structural engineering policies.
Investigate and create reports on structural systems, components, and installation to advise contractors, architects, engineers, and inspectors.
Assign structural testing and review test reports.
Examine soil test information and make recommendations regarding foundations and structures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Salary
$170,000 - $178,000 per year.
Bonus Pay A bonus may be granted based on individual performance, utilization, attendance, tenure, and other corporate goals, at management's discretion.
