Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Senior Bridge Engineering Project Manager, we'll count on you to:

Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium single-discipline engineering projects or large, routine projects Foster and develop client relationships for yourself and your staff Independently coordinate work of engineers and balance planning team throughout entire project’s development Establish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings Track financial aspects of projects and coordinate or adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to schedule Collaborate with peers and team members to create a cohesive practice Perform complex structural planning, analysis, and design for all structural aspects of transportation projects to ensure completion of documents on schedule Work on projects that typically include bridge (steel plate girder, prestress concrete, segmental and cable-stayed), box culvert, and interchange design for highway and railway projects Select standard bridge engineering/design procedures, develop structural details using specialized structural design and analysis software, and perform structural load calculations and assist with geometric layout and quantity development Review, assign work and/or check design calculations, estimates, and specifications produced by junior engineers and EITs Mentor staff and support continued development Perform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering 10 years related experience A minimum 5 years project management experience Professional Engineer in the State of California (or able to achieve reciprocity within 6 months) Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStation, AutoCAD, MathCAD, LARSA, Prestress Concrete Design Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills Experience using structural analysis programs and bridge design software Experience working with junior staff Proficiency with seismic design and detailing of highway bridges Demonstrated leadership skills, communication skills and ability to work with various teams Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment Strong organizational, listening and mentoring skills Ability to handle multiple assignments An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree SE preferred PMP certification 15 years of bridge design experience

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
