Job Description The Critical Facilities Engineer is part of the Facility Operations team, responsible for performing preventative and ongoing maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other infrastructure systems in mission-critical, high-risk, or high-reliability environments (e.g., data centers, medical facilities, laboratories, or utilities infrastructure). This role regularly inspects and monitors equipment and responds to abnormal operating conditions. Responsibilities

Acts as a consistent individual contributor and team member, providing influence, knowledge sharing, training, mentoring, and direction to other staff engineers and peers. Applies expertise and knowledge to develop concepts, techniques, and process improvements. Identifies and troubleshoots electrical, mechanical, plumbing and building related issues, resolving where able, in order to ensure data center uptime and project success. Reviews major design modifications and upgrades to ensure compliance with applicable codes, safety, and operational standards. Creates and reviews all mission-critical MOPs (Method of Procedures) and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for accuracy, safety, and business impact assessment. Collaborates with partner data centers. Functional Skills

Systems Knowledge

– Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Venting, Air Conditioning, CRACs, UPS, ATS) Data center infrastructure or other mission-critical environments Familiarity with Building Automation Systems/Building Control Systems (BAS/BCS) or Facility Management Control Systems (FMCS) Ability to interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, electrical and mechanical schematics Process Knowledge

ITIL Change Management and ServiceNow Change Process Familiarity with safety and risk management principles Experience

2-5 years of relevant experience in critical facilities or related environments. General Skills

Strong problem-solving abilities Familiar with hand tools and power tools Effective written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and email applications Physical Requirements

Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, twist, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds. Occasionally walk or work in uneven terrain or extreme climates Responsible for safely moving and using ladders and elevated work platforms Computer Skills

Proficient in operating computers and related equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and using software applications including MS Office and internet-based tools. Location and Work Hours

Location: Hudson, OH (on-site role) Work Schedule: Third shift, Monday night - Thursday night, four 10-hour days, 11pm - 9:30 am. Occasional need to work other days or shifts to cover changes, PTO or emergencies. Training Schedule: Initial four weeks would be on first shift: Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:30 pm for training Skills and Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is $26.20 - $41.84 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications. Allstate does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position.
