Overview
Electronics Technician 3 (M) - Tysons, VA - 100% Travel at M.C. Dean, Inc. The company designs, builds, operates, and maintains cyber-physical solutions for mission-critical facilities and complex infrastructure with headquarters in Tysons, Virginia. We are seeking an Electronics Technician 3 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit. The role involves working with the SES team to design, engineer, integrate, operate and maintain electronic security services for federal, local, and commercial customers across high-growth markets. Responsibilities
Executes various technical tasks in field operations, including on-site installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of equipment and systems. Ensure functionality and reliability of technologies; conduct site surveys, configure hardware/software, test systems, and provide technical support to customers. Participates in safety and quality processes, including reviewing design documentation and ensuring constructability; track project metrics and resource allocation; verify timesheet charges. Execute installation and maintenance activities within planned durations; complete detailed documentation; manage tools, materials, and receiving processes. Lead commissioning efforts, coordinate with owners and design teams, and communicate with project teams, other trades, and customers. Mentor crew members, provide feedback, and support strategic thinking and innovation within the team. Maintain compliance with QC plans and safety requirements; participate in safety meetings and incident reporting. Provide look-ahead for manpower, material procurement, staging, and resource planning. Qualifications
Clearance/Citizen Type:
Applicants may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; ability to obtain a Public Trust is REQUIRED. Education: HS diploma or GED with Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours) or Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program or Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program Additional three (3) years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities Required Progressive Experience: 6+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance on multiple systems and programs Strong oral, written and presentation skills Experience working with multidisciplinary teams Strong time management and organizational skills Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is a plus Valid driver\'s license and ability to operate company vehicles as needed Preferred Qualifications: Vendor certifications in IDS, ACS, CCTV systems (e.g., CCURE, Lenel, Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch CCTV/BVMS), and related Windows operating systems 3 years of experience focused on electronic security systems OSHA 30 certification What We Offer
