Overview
Team Leader - Material Handling, 2nd Shift (2:30pm-11pm) Warner Electric is looking for our next Team Leader to lead our Material Handler group for the 2nd shift. Team Leaders have a direct impact on safety, culture, workplace organization, internal and external quality, on-time delivery, productivity and inventory. Responsibilities
Lead all activities relating to production performance. Coordinate activities of material associates and guide team members in their development Continually improve safety record with proactive attention to physical safety issues and employee safety behavior; maintain and improve housekeeping in all areas Collaborate, develop, implement, and maintain improvement initiatives and Lean manufacturing processes; lead communication between team members, shifts and production cells Operate industrial trucks (sit and stand), hoists, tuggers and pallet jacks to assist in loading or moving materials and products Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves; lift heavy objects; clean work area; prepare skids for shipment; stock production cells and keep supplies orderly on the production floor Qualifications and Competencies

High School Diploma or GED Previous leadership and manufacturing experience Working knowledge of lean manufacturing, TPS, 6 Sigma or similar methods Post-secondary education preferred Physical Demands and Work Environment
