Overview The Test Engineer IV leads creation and development of application‑specific software, hardware, and documentation as required to ensure the quality and integrity of product. This involves ensuring all elements of the applicable product specifications/requirements are tested and verified. The Test Engineer IV provides leadership and guidance to lower level engineers and technicians, and interacts with upper management to ensure Test Engineering alignment with company goals. The position is located in Colorado Springs, CO.

Responsibilities

Develop test plans, hardware, software, and documentation

Design specialized test equipment and develop operating procedures

Interpret test results, identify and resolve product failures

Work cross‑functionally to resolve product issues

Lead Test Plan reviews internally and externally

Identify improvements in yield, coverage, execution, and reliability of test solutions

Provide technical leadership to other test engineers

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Related Field of Study

Minimum eight (8) years of experience in test development for integrated circuits, circuit card assemblies/modules/boxes.

OR (12) years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelors Degree.

OR (6) years of experience may be considered w/ a Masters Degree.

OR (3) years of experience may be considered w/ a PhD.

Experience developing test software (GUI driven applications that exercise test equipment to verify end products) using National Instruments LabView, C, C++, Python, or other programming languages.

Experience using lab test equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, bit error rate testers, network analyzers, etc.).

Strong knowledge of electronics including the ability to generate/read schematics, assembly drawings, and parts lists.

Knowledge of schematic capture and PCB layout tools like PADs or Expedition is preferred.

Knowledge of automated test equipment and test solutions is preferred.

Additional Information

This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by either ITAR or EAR U.S. export laws. As a condition to this job offer, in order to be employed in this position, you must be able to obtain a U.S. Government export license(s), as required by law.

Pay Range: $110,800 - $138,500 annually. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
