Registered professional nurse who promotes excellence in nursing practice by delivering expert care to patients in all age groups, cultures, psychosocial, spiritual, and disability concerns. The patient population served is consistent with the admission/discharge criteria; renders direct and indirect outcome nursing care through the application of the nursing process; functions within policies, practice guidelines, and nursing standards of SMH in accordance with the Massachusetts Nurse Practice Act, CDC, OSHA standards, and other regulatory agencies. Schedule: 36 Hours (7pm-7am) Required Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience
Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience New Graduate Nurses accepted for some positions Excellent communication and customer service skills required Successful completion of orientation and annual competencies Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience
Meet all responsibilities and competencies outlined for RNs Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; positive organizational skills; adaptability Develop and maintain positive relationships across all areas Commitment to customer relations, quality improvement, and error prevention Provide timely, positive responses to patients, families, co-workers, and physicians Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred Educational Requirements
Completion of pretests/exams, orientation, and clinical preceptorship Bachelor’s Degree required for Cardiac Rehab positions License/Certification
Current Massachusetts RN license Ongoing clinical competencies and continuing education documentation Current BLS certification ACLS certification for Telemetry, ICU, ED, Cardiac Rehab, OR, PACU RNs NRP certification for LDRP RNs PALS certification for ED and PACU RNs Age Specific Criteria
