Overview
SSM Health-SLUCare is seeking an experienced advanced practice provider to join our growing service line. SLUCare represents the academic medical practice of Saint Louis University, known for leading-edge care and groundbreaking research. This inpatient position will work in the stepdown unit.
Job Highlights
Provide clinical care to patients transitioning from the Cardiac Surgery ICU to the step-down setting; evaluate and develop plan of care for new patient consults
Perform detailed assessments, monitor/evaluate cardiac status, manage patient through the pre-post-op period, initiate/refine medical management, participate in multi-disciplinary rounds, care coordination, discharge planning and education, chest tube/pacing wire removal, wound care
Shift-based schedule including rotating weekends and holidays
No Call/No Nights
Qualifications
Cardiothoracic Surgery experience
ICU experience is a plus
Nurse Practitioner must be Acute Care Certified or Certified Physician Assistant
