Cytotechnologist I - West Hills, CA - Monday to Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM
Under general supervision, examine microscopically and interpret gynecologic and non-gynecologic slides for infectious, reactive/reparative, and abnormal cells. Refer appropriate cases for hierarchical review.
Pay Range:
$53.20 - $59.95 / hour
Salary offers are based on relevant skills, training, experience, education, and certifications. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible for an annual performance bonus.

Responsibilities include:
Identify problems affecting test performance or reporting; refer to supervisor and document corrective actions.
Fulfill CLIA (CFR 493.1485) responsibilities, including documenting interpretation results, slide counts, and hours spent examining slides.
Maintain and provide evidence of qualifications such as ASCP, state licenses, and liquid-based cytology certification.
Ensure specimen integrity, patient identification, and confidentiality per HIPAA.
Enter and report results into the laboratory information system.
Adhere to quality control, safety, and regulatory standards.
Participate in training, competency assessments, proficiency testing, and continuing education.
Perform additional duties as assigned, including data entry and quality control rescreening if qualified.
Qualifications:
Current state licensure (if applicable, required)
Liquid-based cytology training/certification (ThinPrep and/or SurePath)
Meet ASCP requirements for Cytotechnologist (must pass registry within one year if not certified prior)
Meet CLIA requirements (CFR 493.1483)
