Overview

Emory University seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor in neuroscience within the Biology Department. The successful candidate will use experimental approaches to examine any aspect of neural function, including molecular, cellular, systems, or developmental neuroscience, and will ideally integrate computational approaches into their research. The department values candidates who contribute to undergraduate teaching and mentorship and who complement existing areas of research strengths. Establish and maintain a productive, externally funded research program in neuroscience. Contribute to undergraduate teaching and mentoring, including supervision of PhD/MD-PhD students and participation in the Graduate Division of Biological and Biomedical Sciences and/or Biomedical Engineering Graduate Program. Train and mentor graduate and undergraduate students; participate in department and university service. Qualifications

PhD and post-doctoral research experience in neuroscience or related field. Record of scholarly productivity and commitment to evidence-based undergraduate teaching and mentoring. Ability to contribute to the department’s teaching mission and create research opportunities for undergraduate students. Application Process
