Our expertise spans diverse specialties, including Trauma, Orthopedics, Cardiovascular, Vascular, Neurology, and General Surgery. We provide critical care for high acuity patients across various clinical specialties. Position Details This is a full-time position working 3 12-hour shifts from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm. Call and holiday shifts are required. Responsibilities Provide service and support before, during, and after surgical procedures. Assist in ensuring the presence and proper arrangement of surgical equipment, supplies, and instrumentation in the operating room prior to each operation. Assist the surgeon in the operating room as allowed by professional and legal standards. Assist in the turnover of the operating room after procedures, ensuring proper routing and processing of specimens, equipment, instrumentation, and supplies. Work as a member of the surgical team with surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses, and other surgical personnel. Qualifications High School Diploma/GED required. Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist from NBSTSA within four months of employment. Basic Life Support Certification required. Ability to resource advanced technology. 15 continuing education units annually as required by state law. Knowledge of various surgical procedures within 12 months of employment. Knowledge of surgical equipment and instrumentation. Strict adherence to policies and regulations regarding sterile fields.
