Overview
New Grad RN Resident Inpatient Medical Care Unit — Johnston-Willis Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare. We are actively hiring for 2025 and 2026 Nurse Residencies. The HCA Nurse Residency Program is a year-long program designed to give you hands-on experience to help establish valuable clinical and critical thinking skills as you transition from student nurse to registered nurse. We offer a sign-on bonus for qualifying units ($10,000 and $15,000 for qualifying units). Start Dates
September 2025 – June 2026 Responsibilities
Coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with department requirements and standard nursing practice. Assessing patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting changes in status. Performing procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider, and documenting care in the patient record. Administering prescribed medications, monitoring therapeutic responses, and notifying providers or intervening as appropriate for adverse or unintended responses. Responding promptly to patient requests and proactively addressing patient needs. Teaching patients, families and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up measures; translating complex medical terminology as needed. Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State No prior RN experience required Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of employment Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 1 year of employment Other certifications may be required during employment Some travel may be needed for training Benefits
