The Role:
The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for generating and maintaining a workable production plan. This role works directly with all stakeholder functional groups. The Planner must be able to balance internal and external customer needs while supporting business needs/interests. This position reports to the Planning Manager. The Responsibilities
Generate and present capacity and resource analysis for short-term planning Process intermittent demand; internal and external client requests for filling and/or finishing activities; requires assessment of available capacity, other client requests, potential changes in demand, forecast, etc. to determine the best possible opportunity to meet the customers’ request Maintain a balanced 90-day plan for Manufacturing (filling and finishing) relative to labor and equipment utilization while integrating support group needs (i.e., preventive maintenance and other non-product procuring activities) Collaborate with Manufacturing groups to create/maintain an executable production plan Open work orders in the ERP system to support the production plan Coordinate Filling and Finishing work order start dates for appropriate flow of materials Responsible for monthly metric reporting to include but not limited to (Schedule Adherence, S&OP, Budget unit volume, etc.) Manage (setup, maintain, assess, master data (i.e., project codes, routings, turn and run times, etc.) utilized in the processes of capacity analysis and production scheduling Responsible for data management, planning, and scheduling of internal no product producing production activities (assignment and entry of production codes, opening and monitoring work orders, scheduling the work etc.) System owner for internal database (Compass) – responsible for data integrity and management Responsible for creating and maintaining shipping schedule Desirable Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required Minimum 2 years professional experience preferred; contract manufacturing experience a plus Must have a general understanding of business and strategic planning Working knowledge of report design and presentations Ability to prioritize workflow and handle multiple activities with minimal supervision Be able to identify errors or faults in process and recommend or implement solutions Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with different groups and functions Team oriented, flexible to adapt to a constantly changing business environment Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and the ability to use enterprise software (examples include: JDE, BPLM, Pilgrim, Trackwise, etc.) Physical / Safety Requirements:
Duties may require overtime work, including nights and weekends. Position requires sitting for long hours but may involve walking or standing for periods of time. Duties may require occasional lifting and/or moving objects weighing up to 20 pounds. Benefits
