Part-time faculty are paid on a lecture hour equivalent (LHE) basis. For library faculty, 1 LHE "Lecture Hour Equivalent" equals 2.34 hours/week for 16 weeks. All part-time faculty start at the beginning pay rates, regardless of experience elsewhere. The rates for the 2024-2025 academic year are $1191 /LHE for faculty without doctorates and $1262/LHE for faculty with doctorates. Part-time faculty can advance one step within the salary schedule after successfully completing 2 fall and spring semesters, each with 3+ LHEs taught per semester.
