The Role
Senior Manager, Quality & Compliance for Cart.com’s pharmaceutical and life sciences fulfillment network. This hands-on leadership role oversees and enhances quality and compliance functions, ensuring adherence to FDA, cGMP, GDP, USP, EU GDP, WHO, and global regulatory standards while driving operational excellence across cold chain and ambient environments. You will lead a team, partner with operations leadership, drive continuous improvement, audits, and risk mitigation, and scale compliant operations day-to-day and strategically.
What You’ll Do Quality & Compliance Leadership:
Oversee quality operations across one or more life sciences fulfillment centers; implement and monitor SOPs to ensure regulatory compliance.
Coordinate internal and client audits; support Director in FDA and regulatory inspections; partner with supervisors to maintain on-floor quality assurance.
Regulatory & Risk Management:
Manage documentation, deviation reports, and CAPAs; prepare regulatory submissions and compliance updates; develop site-level risk assessments and corrective actions; ensure OSHA and safety standards in cold-chain.
Cold Chain & Validation:
Oversee validation and monitoring of temperature-controlled storage (ambient to -90°C); review data logs and corrective actions; collaborate on equipment qualification and environmental monitoring.
People Management & Training:
Directly manage Quality Supervisors and Specialists; deliver training on compliance, audits, and regulatory standards; act as escalation point for quality incidents; drive process improvements and KPIs; foster proactive compliance culture.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Influence up, down, and across functions to ensure regulatory rigor aligns with operational execution.
Who You Are Strategic yet hands-on leader with strong communication skills and collaboration abilities.
Experience developing and coaching front-line supervisors and specialists.
Comfort thriving in a highly regulated, fast-paced logistics environment.
What You’ve Done 5+ years of progressive experience in quality assurance, compliance, or regulatory affairs in pharma, biotech, or life sciences logistics.
Proven experience leading teams and partnering with operations leadership; successful support of FDA inspections, audits, and regulatory interactions.
Knowledge of cGMP, NSF, GDP, USP, EU GDP, and WHO guidelines; strong CAPA, deviation management, and risk assessment skills; hands-on experience in cold chain operations (ambient to -90°C).
Nice to Haves Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Life Sciences, or related field.
ISO 9001, Lean Six Sigma, or Regulatory Affairs certification.
