We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Merchandise Planner to join our team. This role is responsible for building, managing, and optimizing merchandise plans that drive sales, profitability, and inventory productivity across channels. The ideal candidate has 5 years of planning experience in apparel, strong financial acumen, and a customer mindset aligned with premium menswear. A Day in the Life
Develop and manage top-down and bottom-up financial merchandise plans, including sales, margin, receipts, and inventory. Partner with Merchandising, Design, and Sales to ensure line architecture and assortments align with financial goals. Create preseason plans and forecasts, adjusting based on performance and market trends. Optimize inventory flow to achieve targeted stock levels, sell-through, and markdown efficiency. Monitor replenishment programs and in-season performance to recommend reorders, cancellations, or in-season investments. Collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure timely deliveries and accurate demand planning. Provide weekly, monthly, and seasonal reporting on performance vs. plan, highlighting risks and opportunities. Analyze sales trends by channel, category, and style to inform future assortment strategies. Partner with Finance to support long-range planning and budget processes. Work closely with Merchandising to curate assortments that balance brand vision with financial productivity. Partner with Marketing and Retail Operations to align promotional strategies with inventory and sales objectives. What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field. 5 years of merchandise planning experience, preferably in apparel. Strong financial and analytical skills with advanced Excel and planning system proficiency. Proven ability to translate data into actionable strategies and communicate insights effectively. Experience managing Open-to-Buy (OTB), assortment planning, and demand forecasting. Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
