Role Description This is a full-time on-site role located in Little Rock, AR. The Assistant Director will be responsible for supporting the Director in managing the Division of Aeronautics, overseeing aviation projects, ensuring compliance with FAA standards, and promoting aviation-related initiatives. Daily tasks include assisting in daily operations management, coordination with state and federal agencies, strategic planning, community outreach, and grant administration. The Assistant Director will also aid in policy development, budget management, and reporting on the Division's activities and progress. ***Instrument-Rated Commercial Pilot: Properly certificated by the FAA, having a minimum of 500 total logged flying hours, 100 of which have been in retractable gear aircraft, including not less than 25 hours in a Bonanza A36 aircraft.*** From ARCareers website: Job Responsibilities and Expected Results The assignment of supervisory duties is determined by the hiring agency’s operational needs. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience in managing large-scale, multi-participant commerce projects, including budget oversight, performance measurement, and regulatory compliance. Experience working in environments that require high-level strategic planning and community engagement is essential.
