Kaempf & Harris fabricates more than 500 tons of metal every year, including aluminum, custom stainless steel, galvanized steel, and black iron steel. Our team of 60 skilled professionals has unparalleled industry experience and utilizes our fully modernized, 15,000-square-foot facility that features the latest and greatest fabrication technology. Responsibilities
Assist Project Managers in planning, scheduling, and coordinating projects in logical steps to meet deadlines. Support the preparation and submission of budget estimates, and help monitor project costs. Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and supervisory staff to help resolve project issues. Track progress and prepare reports for Project Managers and clients. Assist with reviewing and interpreting engineering, architectural, and construction drawings. Monitor work to ensure adherence to quality standards, specifications, and safety codes. Participate in contract documentation, revisions, and compliance tracking. Help coordinate responses to delays, weather issues, or emergencies at construction sites. Maintain accurate project files, documentation, and records. Build and maintain positive working relationships with owners, managers, designers, supervisors, tradespersons, and craft workers. Perform other duties as assigned in support of project goals. Required Skills/Abilities
1–3 years of experience in the construction industry or related field (project coordination or management support preferred). Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task. Ability to read and understand engineering, architectural, and construction drawings. Effective verbal and written communication skills to work with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders. Proactive, detail-oriented, and dependable with strong follow-through. Comfortable working independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record. Benefits
