Senior Loan Trader
Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Loan Trader to join our Global Markets team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in trading syndicated loans, including both par and distressed assets, and will play a key role in driving secondary market activity across corporate and leveraged loan portfolios.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute trades in syndicated loans, including investment‑grade, leveraged, and distressed credits.
Manage risk and P&L across a diverse loan book.
Develop and maintain relationships with buy‑side clients, sales teams, and internal stakeholders.
Monitor market trends, credit developments, and pricing dynamics to identify trading opportunities.
Collaborate with credit analysts, legal, and operations to ensure smooth trade execution and settlement.
Contribute to strategic initiatives around liquidity, pricing, and portfolio optimization.
Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in loan trading at a major investment bank or buy‑side institution.
Strong understanding of credit markets, loan documentation, and settlement processes.
Proven track record of generating revenue and managing risk.
Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA a plus.
