Job Description Summary:
The research development team is seeking a specialist to manage limited submission opportunities, communicate funding opportunities, prepare templates for common proposal sections, and coordinate events.
Position Summary
Support the research development team by managing limited submission opportunities, communicating funding opportunities, preparing templates for common proposal sections, preparing project management templates, coordinating events and similar tasks. Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain the team's file management system. Logistics of scheduling and supporting complex meetings. Maintain tracking of team metrics under new IBB Service Level Agreement and work with AVP on an annual report for the team's activities. Research Development Work
InfoReady: primary manager of limited submission and internal funding competitions. Manage and reply to inquiries from applicants and reviewers, produce reports to assist the limited submission review decision. Together with the director of research development, liaise with the faculty subcommittee on research for management of internal seed funding programs. RESRCH-L listserv
Weekly funding opportunities newsletter Research community announcements Maintain accuracy of the list serve recipients Provide periodic reports to leadership on open and click rates Develop and implement process for communicating strategic opportunities to researchers Develop templates for common sections of proposals and regularly update templates Develop proposal development project management templates for proposals the research development team is supporting. Maintain organization of appropriations request materials OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Web page editing backup person. Lead event coordinator for Research Development events. Assist AVP of research initiatives with developing government relations communications Perform other duties as assigned. LICENSES, TOOLS, AND EQUIPMENT: Personal computers, printers; high speed internet; word processing and spreadsheet software.
