This position is located at the Child Development Center within the Department of the Air Force Child and Youth Programs. Open to U.S. Citizens, Nationals or those who owe allegiance to the U.S. Pay: $18.66 to $21 per hour. Location: Eielson AFB, AK. This is a Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) position carrying Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) activities for the Air Force. Duties

Child and Youth Program Assistant (all levels): serve in one or more child and youth programs, ensuring the safety and accountability of participants; provide care and supervision; assist in preparing age-appropriate activities; supervise indoors and outdoors, including field trips and special events; arrange and serve snacks/meals; transport children in government vehicles if required; follow policies and regulations. CY Program Assistant (Intermediate Level): assist in planning, coordinating, and conducting activities; create an inviting environment; implement daily schedules and activity plans; brief staff, management, and parents; conduct equipment and supplies inventory. CY Program Assistant (Entry Level): perform simple tasks with step-by-step instructions; assist in delivering planned activities; foster positive interactions; prepare supply lists; attend to children's physical needs as applicable. Requirements and Conditions of Employment

Satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks per Air Force/DoD policy and a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation. Must be able to meet physical lifting requirements and obtain/maintain required immunizations, including annual influenza vaccination; free of all communicable diseases. Complete required training, including Food Handlers certification, within specified time from hire/assignment. Direct deposit is required; E-Verify may be used; background and suitability checks as applicable. Selective Service registration for male applicants born after December 31, 1959. Job may involve a probationary period and potential PCS consideration is not authorized. Qualifications

Who May Apply:

Open to everyone. Applicants will be categorized by preference and priority eligibility. Eligibility must be documented with the application by the closing date. Six months of experience equivalent to CY-01 Entry Level in a group program for children or youth and completion of 3 AF modules (or equivalent) plus AF Orientation Training (for Intermediate Level). Entry Level: No previous experience required. Minimum requirements: at least 18 years old; high school diploma or equivalent; ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing. Education

Some federal jobs allow education substitution for experience. This position allows education substitution as part of qualification. Foreign education must be accredited and evaluated for equivalency to U.S. standards. Additional information

Must meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements and provide supporting documents as needed.
