Project Lead/Manager Engineer – Strategic Portfolio
Location – Lithia, Florida – On site 5 days per week.
Must have:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil, Geotechnical) preferred.
10+ years of project management experience on medium to large scale ($20M–$100M) capital projects in industrial plants.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, MS Project, Primavera P6, and/or Maximo.
Demonstrated project management and engineering skills, including experience managing multiple projects involving Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management phases of mechanical projects at industrial plants.
Project Engineer, Lead
The Project Engineering Lead will be responsible for providing project management and engineering services to proficiently manage strategic capital projects from inception through completion by following Client’s CPM process and procedures to execute clients Phosphates strategic priorities. Tasks include preliminary and detailed project planning and execution tasks focused on scoping, business case development, engineering design, scheduling, cost estimating, cost forecasting and budget control, project change management, procurement, project status reporting, supervision, construction management, and supervision of contract engineers, designers, contractors, subject matter experts.
What you’ll do:
Ensure projects follow Client' capital process management (CPM Road Map) through engineering design, construction and commissioning.
Lead strategic initiatives by providing technical and project engineering support and collaborating with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders across Client's business units.
Act as liaison between project stakeholders including operations, maintenance, reliability, EHS, permitting, legal, agencies, third party consultants and contractors to ensure the project meets objectives and metrics for EHS compliance, quality / performance, cost and schedule.
Prepare, maintain, and present weekly/monthly project status reports to Client Leadership including progress, productivity, cost, and schedule utilizing the Client Capital Management Processes, Project Reporting Scorecards, Accurate Forecasting using SAP/CCMR and other templates (90% accuracy).
Deliver projects consistently, on time, under budget, meeting quality expectations and without safety injuries.
Be a leader in promoting Client's safety culture and ensure safety is integrated in all phases of project execution.
Collaborate with Procurement Group to develop procurement strategy, scope of works, prepare requests for quotes and proposals (RFQ/RFP's), list of potential bidders, conduct pre‑bid meetings, clarify bidder's questions, evaluate bids, write purchase requisitions, and review/approve invoices.
Participate in Client's relentless pursuit of an injury‑free workplace through project safety leadership company initiatives.
Mentor engineers and manage co‑ops students or interns.
