About The Role We are seeking qualified, confident, and collaborative Entry-Level Engineers with an interest in specializing in life safety/fire protection to join our New York office. This is an exciting opportunity to launch your career with a firm known for engineering excellence and innovation. As an Electrical Engineer at JB&B, you'll work on a wide range of projects across multiple sectors, collaborating with senior engineers and partners to gain hands-on experience and mentorship while contributing to impactful client solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Complete tasks on fit-out, base building, and infrastructure upgrade projects Assemble fire alarm riser diagrams, schedules, and floor plans Assist in planning and coordinating routing of major backbone equipment, closets, shafts, and risers Review shop drawings and perform site visits and punch lists under senior supervision Assist in developing fire alarm writing diagrams, device layouts, and riser diagrams Lay out fire alarm closets, command centers, and panels; perform basic battery and voltage drop calculations using software Conduct site surveys, punch lists, and design reviews Coordinate with peers in other trades Review and interpret local, state, and national building/fire codes (e.g., NFPA, IBC, IFC)

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required 0-1 years of MEP design engineering experience Excellent oral and written communication Demonstrated success collaborating in a team environment Basic understanding of design software tools; Revit and AutoCAD preferred

Estimated compensation range:

$79,000-$82,000 annual salary
