This position reports to Systems Drives Operations Manager
Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will execute service work according to work instructions and ABB quality and safety guidelines. The work model is remote. You will contribute to Process Industries in the Georgia/Southern region. Your main responsibilities include:
Supervising installation of new equipment at customer sites per manufacturer’s specifications.
Interpreting maintenance manuals, schematics, and software tools; repairing equipment using electronics knowledge and test instruments, computers, and hand tools.
Leading service and repair of ABB equipment and instructing customers in electrical theory and operation of ABB Drives. Leading drive system commissioning projects.
Consulting with engineering to resolve system operation and maintenance issues.
Qualifications for the role
Associates degree in a related field with 2+ years of related work/military experience, or high school diploma/GED with 4+ years of related experience.
Understanding of AC and DC drive systems.
Experience in field service engineering for AC and DC drive systems, using test equipment like oscilloscopes, data loggers, PDMA motor testing, and CMC measurements. Experience with ABB 800xA is a plus.
