Mechanical Project Engineer - Mission Critical Facilities Base pay range: $90,000.00/yr - $145,000.00/yr This Jobot Job is hosted by Tracy Hann. Responsibilities
Design & Preconstruction: Prepare electrical/mechanical system designs, specifications, and drawings for upgrades, replacements, and repairs. Manage RFP creation, contractor selection, and project scoping. Project Management: Lead project teams and subcontractors to ensure delivery within scope, budget, timeline, and safety standards. Oversee schedules, budgets, documentation, and communication protocols. Construction Oversight: Manage construction administration, supervise subcontractors, and ensure quality installation of building systems, including UPS, HVAC, fire protection, and generators. Consulting & Owner’s Rep: Evaluate existing systems, develop action plans, and provide ongoing engineering and operational support. Troubleshoot issues and manage emergency resolutions. Client & Vendor Engagement: Build strong client relationships, support repeat business development, and maintain a reliable contractor/vendor network for ongoing and future projects. Requirements
Bachelor’s in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 4+ years of relevant experience. Proficiency in planning, scheduling, and organization. Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills. Knowledge of construction, mechanical, and electrical systems. Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Project, and AutoCAD.
