Kinder Morgan
Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Plant Operator Twin Bridges
Kinder Morgan, Danville, Indiana, United States, 46122
Kinder Morgan is one of the largest energy infrastructure companies in North America. We own an interest in or operate approximately 83,000 miles of pipelines and 141 terminals. Our pipelines transport natural gas, gasoline, crude oil, carbon dioxide (CO2), and more. Our terminals store and handle renewable fuels, petroleum products, chemicals, vegetable oils, and other products.
We believe that fuels with a lower-carbon lifecycle, like RNG, are part of the solution to reduce greenhouse gas emissions worldwide. With our more than 70,000 miles of natural gas pipeline systems that transport approximately 40% of the natural gas consumed and exported in the United States, we are uniquely positioned to transport RNG from coast-to-coast without making enhancements to our existing natural gas pipeline network.
Primary Purpose: Monitor and control terminal components such as pumps, compressors, rotating equipment, flare, vessels, tanks, blowers, natural gas compression equipment; electrical systems; utilities systems (air, nitrogen, water sump pumps); fire protection, hazard detection systems, and security systems at an RNG gas processing facility.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Monitor and control terminal components such as pumps, compressors, blowers, natural gas compression equipment; electrical systems; utilities systems (air, nitrogen, water sump pumps); fire protection, hazard detection systems, and security systems. Start, stop, and operate engines/pumps and other equipment to maintain designated operating parameters.
Assist in planning and performing maintenance and repairs on compressors, engines, turbines, auxiliary equipment, pumps, process controls, and related equipment.
Ensure the cost-effective and efficient performance of all gas and liquid processing units and associated equipment.
Monitor product quality to ensure it meets specifications and take appropriate actions when out-of-specification product is identified.
Notify personnel as appropriate of the status of system operations.
Perform governmental compliance activities (DOT, State Agencies, EPA, USFS, etc.), including hazardous waste storage, labeling, inspecting, and shipping.
Other duties as assigned.
