Field Service Engineer – Leybold USA Inc.
Location:
Export, PA, USA – Hybrid arrangement (remote & on-site)
Mission:
Install, analyze, troubleshoot, maintain and service Leybold vacuum pumps and related equipment with proactive product promotion in Export, PA. Report to the Field Service Supervisor.
Responsibilities
Work closely with local account managers and the service organization to increase sales of spare parts and aftermarket services.
Install, analyze, troubleshoot, maintain and service Leybold pumps and related equipment in the field.
Achieve budget goals for spares and aftermarket sales.
Support new product qualifications and installations.
Provide technical advice, assistance and product training to customers.
Maintain relationships between the customer and the organization on field service and aftermarket sales matters.
Determine and recommend products or services that best fit customers’ needs.
Identify areas for product improvement or needs for new products; maintain a historical log of site visits, write trip reports and follow up to ensure customers’ needs have been satisfied.
Assist sales channels in selling company products & services by providing technical expertise to prospective and established customers.
Increase employee knowledge of Leybold products to facilitate installation, start-up and maintenance.
Help develop and train additional field service staff.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications We encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every requirement. You have 2+ years of experience in field service for mechanical or automotive repair assemblies.
Associate's Degree in a technical related field.
Cryo or refrigeration experience is a plus (vacuum systems, turbopumps, dry pumps, booster pumps, leak detectors, rotary vane pumps, vacuum gauges and cryo pumps).
Ability to develop strong customer relationships & promote aftermarket sales and service.
Working knowledge of electronics, electrical systems and mechanical aptitude.
Demonstrated sense of urgency to respond to customer requirements.
Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills.
Works independently with minimal supervision and is a self-starter.
Basic computer skills and working knowledge of personal computer environments (Microsoft Office, etc.).
Valid driver’s license required.
Candidate must submit an OSHA Respirator Medical Evaluation Questionnaire, pass a pulmonary function test and be able to utilize a full face respirator.
Work Conditions While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather conditions, fumes or airborne particles, electrical shock and vibration. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently use a computer and meets vision requirements (close, color, distance, depth). Travel up to 50% may be required depending on home location and customer sites within the assigned region.
