Gas Engineer IV

provides advanced judgment and analysis for the design development, implementation, and technical analysis of systems to support new products or changes to existing schemes to meet client needs. This role plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates detailed phases of a project independently with other engineering disciplines and project management staff. The

mentors junior staff and provides technical review as needed. The role recommends design alterations to improve quality and ensures self-checking of work in technical reports and calculations. This individual identifies, develops, and gathers technical resources to complete assignments and monitors progress against the project work plan. Plan, design, analyze, and implement gas-related systems and components for new products or changes to existing schemes. Mentor junior staff and perform technical reviews of their work. Coordinate with multi-discipline teams and manage 3D design interfaces in a collaborative environment. Defend and present designs in process hazard analyses (PHA) or similar environments. Contribute to QA/QC processes and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards. Develop and maintain project work plans, monitor progress, and adjust as needed. Interface with clients and stakeholders to ensure design meets requirements and regulatory expectations. Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required Professional Engineer (PE) license required Minimum of 4 years of discipline-specific engineering experience Experience with Natural Gas Piping or Process Piping Thorough knowledge of 49 CFR part 192 and referenced codes (ASME BPVC, B31 piping codes, and related) Experience in sizing and selection of pressure regulation, overpressure devices, heat exchangers, vessels, heaters, meters, and piping components 3D modeling skills (e.g., Plant3D in AutoCAD) and ability to interface with designers in 3D Ability to oversee integration of multi-discipline models and CADD coordination Experience with Caesar II piping stress analysis (B31.8, B31.3, B31.1) Hydronic system design and the selection and specification of pumps, boilers, control valves, piping sizing, and safety systems Ability to defend and present designs in safety analyses (PHA) or similar environments Strong knowledge of engineering discipline and application of best practices Advanced proficiency with engineering software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.) Familiar with QA/QC procedures and basic business practices and laws related to engineering Leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively Effective verbal and written communication skills adaptable to various audiences Proficiency with MS Office software Active involvement in a professional engineering society/organization preferred Salary

Salary Range:

$100,000 - $120,000 Salary is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience, education, licenses, and market standards. Culture / EEO Statement
