Overview
Process Chief Engineer position with AECOM US+LATAM Energy to lead the Process Engineering team in the Industrial & Generation department. The role focuses on refinery, NGL, and petrochemical processes, ensuring quality of engineering deliverables, supporting business development, and driving continuous improvement in line with AECOM Quality and Safety standards. General Management: supervise all process team members and coordinate with Department Manager to communicate office and corporate policies and procedures through routine team meetings; promote open dialogue; and foster safety training adherence. Resource Management: identify staff for projects; adjust workloads; maintain billable staff levels; anticipate capacity gaps and partner with leadership to recruit or train; coordinate hiring and onboarding; provide required resources (hardware/software, processes, literature). Career Development: mentor team members; conduct performance reviews; identify training opportunities; build confidence for growth into greater responsibilities. Quality Management: ensure compliance with work processes and QA/QC standards; support detailed checking and ITR processes; assist in identifying and quantifying potential change orders; manage work product reviews according to client needs. Business Development: contribute to annual business planning; support proposals with execution plans for process needs and detailed scope of work; develop budgets based on task hours. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications BA/BS + 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education Relevant engineering experience in industrial, refineries and/or power facilities Preferred Qualifications 5+ years experience in team supervision PE Licensure 10+ years relevant experience in industrial, refineries and/or power facilities 7+ years as technical lead on refinery or NGL projects Experience with engineering analysis software (Aspen/HYSYS, Arrow, Fathom, Promax, Pipe-flo) HAZOP experience Experience in planning and coordinating engineering/design for complex, multi-discipline programs Experience in standardizing work processes and continuous improvement Resource planning experience (labor forecasting, hiring, staffing, cost estimating) Experience supporting business development and client meetings Strong leadership in developing technical teams Experience in full EPC/Design-Build projects; worksharing with international centers Field construction support, startup and commissioning experience Ability to work in remote and multi-disciplined teams Familiarity with industry codes and standards Experience in collaborative 3D model environments (Plant 3D, Navisworks) Additional Information
