Overview

Radar Systems Engineer at KBR, Inc. The National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to customers in the intelligence and national security communities. This position involves work that aims to protect national security and supports technology development for remote sensing applications. This is an early career professional role in systems engineering with interest in technology development for remote sensing applications. Why Join Us? Participate in systems engineering teams on concurrent development projects with overlapping objectives for product design and performance. Translate user needs and customer problem statements into requirements to be addressed with innovative technical solutions. Collaborate with teammates from diverse backgrounds to analyze and develop solutions, often realized as algorithms, and validate these through modeling, simulation, and application to data. Implement advanced signal and image processing algorithms using MATLAB or Python and evaluate them in the context of remote sensing systems and advanced sensor designs (radar and electro-optical systems). Document and present results to teammates and customers. Work Environment

Location: On-site Travel Requirements: Minimal 0-20% Working Hours: Flexible Qualifications

Required: Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance, typically requiring US citizenship Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, or Computer Science, with relevant experience Education details include: Bachelor's + 3 years Earned Master’s degree Experience: Background or interest in remote sensing technologies (systems, software) Experience in systems engineering and development Experience with MATLAB and/or Python Work Style: Ability to work independently and in a team Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication Desired: Clearance: Active TOP SECRET with SCI access Proficiency in MATLAB and/or Python Experience with C++ Ready to Make a Difference?
