PTS is looking for a Lead Electrical Controls Engineer with experience in Nuclear Power Plant Design and Modifications to join a top Engineering & Consultancy firm. This role will play a crucial part in design and analysis, as well as mentorship within the team. Position Responsibilities

Lead the development of proposals and support other engineers with creating deliverables for nuclear projects in the Electrical, Controls, and Digital areas. Collaborate with the Project Engineer and Project Manager on multi-discipline projects, and step in as the Electrical or I&C Project Engineer when needed. Serve as a technical lead for the client—guiding discipline-specific teams and offering your expertise in industry-standard design practices and calculations for commercial nuclear upgrades. Work closely with engineers and designers to put together design change packages for modifications at operating nuclear plants and other related facilities. Confidently prepare and review engineering change packages (ECs) to ensure they\'re accurate and complete. Develop scoping documents and proposals that define the extent of Electrical, I&C, and Digital modifications, along with estimating the engineering and design effort required. Perform field walkdowns to verify the existing setup of plant structures, systems, and components. Handle a variety of Digital I&C design tasks, including updating system requirements, network architecture, control logic, and HMI to support design change documentation. Create cyber security assessments and classify components in line with 10CFR73.54 and NEI 08-09, making sure critical digital assets are properly documented before presenting them to the client\'s Cyber Security Assessment Team for review and approval. Position Requirements

Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering from an accredited school (required) A master\'s or other advanced engineering degree is a plus PE license is a big bonus—and if you don\'t have it yet, you\'ll need to be able to get it within a year of starting (required) At least 8 years of design experience, with 4 of those specifically in nuclear plant modification work (DOE or commercial) Experience working with several operating nuclear clients and vendors is a big plus Having unescorted access—or previous on-site experience with it—is a big advantage. If not, you\'ll need to qualify for access at an active or under-construction nuclear plant (required) Familiar with the industry-standard design procedure IP‑ENG‑001 (required) Solid understanding of digital design practices, especially NISP‑EN‑04 (required) Background in machine design is a nice bonus
