Job Description:
Position Overview:
The successful Industrial Engineer will thrive in technical aspects, enjoy customer interaction and project management to support our nationwide distribution centers. Responsibilities include designing distribution layouts, analyzing productivity, creating pricing models, and optimizing strategies. The candidate will follow GMPs, report noncompliance, and observe safety rules.
Work Location:
Within a commutable distance of Edgerton, KS, with regular travel to Blue Springs, KS.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm EST, on-site.
Travel:
Up to 25% domestic travel and site-to-site travel as needed.
Compensation:
$120,000 - $145,000 annually, plus performance bonus, health/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and more.
Responsibilities:
Design, evaluate, and implement engineering projects.
Develop pricing estimates for new opportunities.
Optimize use of assets for efficiency.
Plan utilization of facilities, equipment, and personnel.
Study products/services to meet requirements and design systems.
Review organizational structures and responsibilities.
Propose automated warehousing solutions.
Analyze storage and material handling strategies.
Improve warehouse flow and storage strategies.
Conduct ROI analyses for capital proposals.
Create warehouse layouts using AutoCAD.
Manage vendor relationships for capital projects.
Develop solutions with customers and operations.
Analyze processes for improvements.
Create workflow plans and conduct time studies.
Determine productivity metrics.
Re-evaluate work processes for productivity.
Follow GMPs and report noncompliance.
Observe safety rules and assist enforcement.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.
2+ years in a warehouse environment.
Knowledge of secondary packaging and manufacturing.
Understanding of quality and safety concepts.
WMS knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications:
Data analysis skills.
Self-motivated with strong communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
Attention to detail and deadline orientation.
Flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with ERP systems.
