Essential Functions/Duties Module assembly (CPM, FEM, AGS) & sequencing planning and execution Plan, design concepts, evaluate, optimize, write specifications, and follow up with suppliers on light industrial equipment including assembly facilities, warehousing, assembly lines for automotive modules, assembly cells, jigs, fixtures, gauges for quality checks, headlamp alignment, and lifting devices Meet deliverables in terms of quality, deadlines, cost efficiency, and process capabilities Develop tooling and processes to handle class A surface exterior and interior modules Implement lean processes, continuous improvement, assembly time optimization, material and information flow optimization, and minimal inventories Proactively define requirements, communicate progress, and coordinate with program teams and remote experts following corporate guidelines and plant procedures Supervise suppliers, document, and optimize equipment and fixture execution Support or drive adherence to, and improvements in, plant health and safety standards Ensure safety precautions are taken during commissioning, servicing, installation, and maintenance activities involving facility services and fabrication Oversee installation, procurement, and maintenance of plant equipment, supporting modifications for safety, quality, or efficiency needs Have the authority to stop production for safety concerns, notifying supervisors and plant managers as necessary Quote machinery and tooling Marginal Functions/Duties Develop Value Stream Maps for assigned processes and plants, comparing current and future states Develop and update MTM for current processes and plants Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, CSR requirements, and ISO 14001 certification Stop production for quality issues, notifying supervisors and managers for immediate repair Support the launch of ISO 45001 and ISO 50001 standards Education Bachelor’s degree in industrial, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering is mandatory; a college diploma with at least 10 years of experience is acceptable. A master’s degree is preferred. Professional/Technical Training Lean Manufacturing and JIT production system implementation Assembly equipment design APIS software for PFMEA Related Experience/Specialized Knowledge Experience as an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer with knowledge in: Developing engineering proposals for process, equipment, labor, capital, and tooling costs Preparation of SOW or RFQ, assembly equipment design (a plus), tightening experience, AutoCAD, Catia (a plus), MTM or Modapts, PLC, Robotics, Vision systems, VA/VE, Six Sigma Green Belt, injection molding cells (pre- and post-molding) Knowledge of IATF 16949, CSR, and ISO 14001 standards
