What to Expect We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our LFP battery manufacturing team, focusing on quality assurance in material testing, chemical testing, and metrology testing laboratories. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player with strong expertise in analytical instruments and a commitment to ensuring high-quality standards in battery production.

What You'll Do

Oversee IQC lab inspections and cell manufacturing quality, build/monitor quality data systems, and document/categorize IQC/IPQC results while reviewing related engineering and lab documentation

Drive containment and continuous improvement: own 8D problem definition, RCAs, dispositions, effectiveness tracking, and implement revised/new processes using Six Sigma/Lean

Implement Lean methodologies and Statistical Process Control (SPC) to drive supplier quality improvements, develop systematic problem-solving strategies, and ensure compliance with LFP material specifications

Develop, draft, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for laboratory processes

Perform method development and validation for testing procedures

Conduct vendor correlation studies to ensure consistency and reliability of results

Execute Gage R&R (Repeatability and Reproducibility) studies to validate measurement systems

Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical instruments to support quality testing

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in quality processes

Analyze test data and prepare detailed reports to support manufacturing quality objectives

What You'll Bring

Degree in Electrical, Chemical, Materials Engineering, or equivalent experience

Proven experience in a quality engineering role, preferably in battery manufacturing or a related industry

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Strong familiarity with analytical instruments, including but not limited to: IC, GC, ICP, SEM, DSC/TGA, Particle Size Analyzer, Carbon & Sulfur Analyzer, Karl Fischer Titrator, and others

Familiarity with statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for quality data analysis

Experience in LFP battery manufacturing or lithium-ion battery quality testing

Experience in analytical instrument method develop and validation
