Arcadis is actively seeking an entry-level
Electrical Engineer
with 0-3 years of experience to join our Water Business Line team in the Detroit, MI area. This role involves a variety of electrical engineering tasks for municipal and industrial water/wastewater projects, including design, analysis, and layout of power distribution systems, standby power systems, lighting systems, data communications, equipment relay logic, and instrumentation and controls systems. You will work with a strong, nationally recognized technical staff on challenging projects. This position emphasizes a results-driven, client-focused approach, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and effective communication. A solid understanding of AutoCAD and Revit, along with proficiency in MS Office, is important for success in this role. Responsibilities
Define design criteria, perform detailed calculations, and develop key deliverables such as one-line diagrams, control schematics, plans, and specifications. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential. Prepare construction cost estimates, conduct code compliance reviews, perform field investigations, and draft technical reports and memorandums. During the construction phase, provide engineering support, including reviewing equipment submittals and shop drawings, and responding to contractor RFIs (Requests for Information). Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology, or a closely related field of study. Preferred Qualifications
Working to obtain or having obtained Professional Engineer (PE) license Experience in water and wastewater (W/WW) electrical engineering design Experience with electrical design activities (power and standby power systems, lighting, motor control systems) Knowledge of instrumentation, PLC controls, and SCADA network architecture Active participation in regional and/or national professional associations Why Arcadis?

Arcadis offers benefits for full-time and part-time positions, including medical, dental, vision, EAP, 401K, life insurance, paid parental leave, and various wellbeing benefits. Nine paid holidays and 15 days of PTO accrue annually. Salary range for this position is $49,390–$84,950, with actual salaries varying based on experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
