2026 Future Talent Program - Operations Research Value Chain Management Co-Op at Merck. This co-op sits within the Operations Research Value Chain Management Center of Excellence, part of the Supply Chain Management organization. The successful candidate will work with operations and supply chain professionals to support the development of long-term supply chain strategies for products across the product lifecycle, with exposure to complex planning scenarios and optimization models to support data-driven decision-making for supply, capacity, and network-wide resource allocation. Responsibilities

Support the development of long-term supply chain strategies for products across the product lifecycle. Engage with optimization models and techniques to aid data-driven decisions in supply, capacity, and network-wide resource allocation. Contribute to de-risking supply chains by supporting an integrated risk management process and using e-tools to view value chains and associated risks. Assist with dashboarding and data analytics, including development/enhancement of BI tools (e.g., Power BI) to enable business process improvements. Learn about and contribute to long-term capacity planning and data analysis to inform operations views. Lead or contribute to projects from initiation to completion, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to team objectives. Successful Candidate

Motivated to develop leadership, technical, and business skills within supply chain and manufacturing contexts. Committed to personal career development and delivering value to the company. Comfortable influencing others and adapting to new roles or tasks. Ability to work independently, in teams, and to lead teams when needed. Interested in a broad range of experiences across the supply chain organization. Capable of delivering executive-level insights to senior management. Required Education and Experience

Currently enrolled in a BS or MS program in one of: Supply Chain / Logistics / Engineering / Business Administration / Operations Research. Preferred Experience and Skills

Strong interest or background in operations research, supply chain management, industrial engineering, data analytics, or related fields. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to convey complex ideas clearly. Problem-solving mindset with proactive, analytical approach. Collaborative team player who can also work independently. Leadership experience from academic projects, extracurriculars, internships, undergraduate research, or military service. GPA of 3.0 or higher. Additional Information

Please note: The position may close before the posted end date or remain open longer at the company’s discretion. Salary range for this role is $39,600.00–$105,500.00 USD. EEO Information
