Job Summary
The Environmental Supervisor is responsible for overseeing remediation and industrial maintenance projects while ensuring full compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. This role requires strict adherence to established procedures and a commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment. Job Responsibilities
Perform fieldwork on remediation and industrial maintenance projects under direct or indirect supervision. Lead and supervise project labor forces—including foremen, equipment operators, hazardous waste technicians, and emergency response crews—to ensure safe and effective performance. Accurately complete all project-related documentation, including timesheets, daily work reports, driver’s logs, and tailgate safety meeting forms. Interpret and enforce project scope-of-work to maintain compliance with contracts, schedules, and company policies. In coordination with management, plan and allocate personnel, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to optimize efficiency, control costs, and maximize profitability. Promote and enforce safety standards to ensure crew adherence during all project phases. Work in confined spaces and varied environments requiring squatting, crawling, and extended physical activity. Read, understand, and comply with safety signage, site-specific safety plans, and hazardous materials literature. Safely operate vehicles, conduct required safety checks, and travel as needed for extended assignments. Adapt to diverse project demands, working outdoors year-round in all weather conditions and under challenging environments such as extreme heat, cold, heights, hazardous chemicals, loud noise, and heavy equipment. Meet physical requirements, including prolonged standing, walking, crouching, manual tasks, and lifting 50+ pounds. Remain clean-shaven to ensure proper respirator fit and compliance with safety requirements. Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required, with strong reading, writing, and reasoning skills. 2–3 years of supervisory experience in remediation and/or industrial maintenance projects. Additional experience in emergency response, manual labor, construction, or industrial cleaning preferred. Must hold a valid Class “D” driver’s license; TWIC card preferred. 40-hour HAZWOPER certification required (or ability to obtain within the first 30 days of employment). Confined Space Entry certification required within the first 30 days of employment. Successful completion of pre-employment background check and substance screening, with ongoing compliance to company standards. Benefits
