Base pay range $125,000.00/yr - $165,000.00/yr

We’re seeking a Senior Water / Wastewater Engineer who has a strong technical understanding of multiple water and wastewater treatment processes and can lead overall process design for facilities.

Responsibilities

Work closely with clients and translate their requirements into functional system designs.

Review pre-construction design and documentation.

Support the sales team by assisting with technical design, estimating hours, and highlighting logistical challenges.

Generate functional system descriptions and diagrams.

Perform system calculations from preliminary to final design.

Provide markups for plans and lead cost estimates.

Coordinate with project staff, other disciplines, subconsultants, clients, and reviewers to ensure accuracy and quality of work.

Manage and maintain project documentation, including meeting project schedules, budgets, and scope.

Assist in proposal development, scopes of work, and fee schedule preparation.

Mentor junior staff with technical and professional development.

Review and approve final design of projects.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, mechanical, environmental or other related field). Master’s degree preferred.

8+ years of experience in water and wastewater treatment industry

5+ years in water quality analysis, treatment evaluations, process design, and regulatory compliance assessments.

Licensed Professional Engineer preferred but not required.

Strong knowledge and understanding of water and wastewater treatment technologies

Experience with general construction, utilities, and/or water and wastewater treatment plants preferred

Ability to read and understand civil, mechanical, structural, and electrical drawings.

Ability to create process & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).

Proficient with MS Office products and other standard software packages.

Proficient with CAD and other design software platforms.

Location:

This is a remote-based position that requires occasional travel to sites in the Inter-Mountain Western U.S. region plus the State of Texas.
