Manufacturing Team Lead II (Glider, 1st Shift)

Primary Responsibilities
Ensure continuous flow of production to meet planned output while following operations standards (safety, quality, delivery, cost, maintenance). Identify issues and engage Tier 1 team in process or problem resolution and elevate appropriate issues to Tier 2 team.
Facilitate training and development of production employees, providing clear expectations of performance, AMS, quality, and safety. Maintain cross‑training matrix and coordinate movement of employees to meet business needs.
Focus on improving business metrics by leading AMS projects and initiatives. Maintain visual management tools (PVA, run charts, CI boards, Tier 1 boards) to drive continuous improvement and employee engagement. Participate in problem solving using AMS tools and methodology (5 Why, PDCA, MCA).
Demonstrate leadership in communications, conflict resolution, process constraints and problem solving. Lead and effectively communicate at daily Tier One meetings to encourage employee participation and engagement.
Provide support of other production areas as needed, including project support, leader coverage, and cycle counting responsibilities.
Complete standard work & control plan audits, including safety, finished goods quality, scrap, and standard work. Participate and complete corrective actions from the MCA process.
Follow and consistently enforce all safety procedures according to standards. Proactively address safety concerns and take action or follow up when appropriate.
Qualifications and Skills
Associate degree or equivalent work experience in manufacturing operations.
Knowledge and application of continuous improvement processes such as 5S and problem‑solving methods. Lean training or certification preferred.
Knowledge of operations products, processes, and equipment including safety, quality, changeover and set‑up skills and basic machine diagnostic techniques.
Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, train, and motivate employees.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and effectively working with others. Flexible, self‑motivated, and lifelong learner with initiative.
Compensation Pay is based on work experience, education, location, certifications, etc. Successful candidates for the VSTL II role are expected to earn $24.45 to $35.45 per hour.

Profit Sharing In 2025 Andersen has set a profit sharing target of $3,500 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate.
