We’re looking for a hands-on Quality Engineer to lead quality initiatives on the production floor and drive continuous improvement across operations. This role blends technical know-how with real-time problem-solving, ensuring compliance with industry standards and supporting a culture of quality excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain a strong presence on the shop floor, working closely with inspectors and operators to resolve quality concerns as they arise.
Guide team members through complex inspections and troubleshoot issues in real time.
Partner with customers during source inspections and support production with immediate quality decisions.
Validate inspection methods and ensure proper use of measurement tools in actual production settings.
Assist in auditing internal processes and procedures to ensure alignment with quality standards.
Develop and implement quality standards in line with ISO9001, AS9100, and NADCAP.
Lead investigations into nonconformances and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Review and approve incoming materials and product receipts.
Create clear, user-friendly inspection documentation and visual aids for operators.
Develop and maintain First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation and inspection procedures.
Manage inspection tools, including ordering, calibration, and control systems.
Interpret customer requirements and ensure proper flow-down to production.
Collaborate with operations to enhance process control and quality assurance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field with 3+ years in quality engineering, or Associate’s with 5+ years of progressive quality experience.
Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and quality tools like SPC.
Familiarity with ISO9001, AS9100, and NADCAP standards.
Experience with precision manufacturing—especially aerospace or machining— is a plus.
Proficient with measurement systems and inspection equipment.
Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and solid computer skills.
