Department Overview You will be part of multi-disciplined project team dedicated to work on design and delivery of complex mission critical voice and data systems. The systems may be used directly by our customers or by Motorola Solutions to deliver Managed Services to our customers. You will work in the post sales phases of projects as well as support multiple projects in parallel depending on size and complexity.
Field Engineer Role forms part of multi-disciplined project teams to design and deliver complex mission critical voice and data systems. The systems may be used directly by our customers or by Motorola Solutions to deliver Managed Services to our customers. Field Engineers work in post sales phases of projects and may support multiple projects in a given period depending on size and complexity. There may also be a requirement to provide support to Pre-sales and Services Organization.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and/or perform implementation of communication system solutions and services.
Participate / Co-lead in Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) while coordinating the technical aspects.
Responsible for the installation, integration, testing, and commissioning of MSI and 3rd party solutions.
Identify, investigate and troubleshoot technical issues during project implementation.
Conduct on-site Acceptance Tests, while coordinating the technical aspects.
Update technical documentation and manage technical change.
Communications - Project status updates and reporting.
Self development through an agreed training plan, experience and knowledge transfer.
Interface, communicate, and coordinate the customer, partner, sub-contractor on project deployment and best practices.
Ensure the project is delivered to the Motorola Solutions Quality, Health and Safety standards.
Basic Requirements
Fluent in English and Polish.
At least 3 years of professional engineering experience in Telecommunication System, IP Transport Network, IT, Field, Service, Technical Support or equivalent.
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Juniper Network Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA) or higher certification.
Good knowledge in Operating System and Application (Unix, Window, Virtualization Technology etc).
Good knowledge in Radio Frequency (Base Station TX/RX, Mobile /Portable Radio, RF test equipment).
Manual skills for field work like wiring, soldering, physical installation of equipment in addition to commissioning and testing tasks.
Valid Driving license.
Availability and willingness to travel (80%), inside and outside residence country.
Willingness to obtain relevant Security Clearance to enter customer site.
A University degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related field is preferred but not required.
We value skills, experience and demonstrated ability over formal qualification.
