TETER is seeking an experienced
Project Manager
to lead the architectural delivery of
K–12 and higher education building design projects
for our California-based clients. Important:
This is an
architecture-focused role , not a construction or engineering position. Candidates must have
architectural design experience
and a deep understanding of the building design process, particularly in
DSA-regulated education environments . WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Project Manager at TETER, you\'ll lead multidisciplinary design teams and manage client relationships while ensuring educational building projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will: Lead
DSA-regulated building design projects
from concept through construction administration. Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and team resources using Deltek Vantagepoint. Coordinate with school districts, consultants, and internal teams to ensure seamless communication. Oversee contract development, fee proposals, and sub-consultant agreements. Provide mentorship and direction to project architects, job captains, and design professionals. Support business development efforts and help identify new education project opportunities. Foster a collaborative A+E work environment and uphold TETER\'s project management best practices. WHAT YOU BRING Experience: Project Manager I: 8–12 years of overall architectural design/project delivery experience, including prior roles such as Job Captain or Senior Job Captain. Project Manager II: 12–15 years of overall architectural design/project delivery experience, with demonstrated success leading DSA-regulated projects. Senior Project Manager: 15+ years of overall architectural design/project delivery experience, with a proven track record of client leadership, mentorship, and managing large-scale education projects. Demonstrated experience managing DSA-regulated educational building design projects in California Education:
Bachelor\'s degree in architecture or a closely related field Licensure:
Registered Architect in California preferred but not required Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and client relationship skills Deep understanding of project work plans, staffing, and budgets Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software (Deltek Vantagepoint preferred) Familiarity with REVIT and/or AutoCAD COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Annual Salary Range:
