Bolton & Menk has an exciting opportunity for a Transit Engineer, PE to join our Transportation team in one of our Twin Cities metro offices. We are looking to add a Transit Project Engineer, PE who will help foster our mission that All People Should Live in Safe, Sustainable and Beautiful Communities! As a Transit Project Engineer you will lead and/or oversee transit engineering studies, preliminary designs, final designs, technical specifications and cost estimating related to bus rapid transit, streetcar, light rail, and multimodal/active transportation projects. What You Will Be Doing Performs detailed design computations Performs preliminary layout, modeling and design. Researches and prepares rough drafts of preliminary reports and feasibility studies. Assists with project design and preparation of plans and specifications and prepare cost and quantity take-off estimates. What We Are Looking For Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) 12+ years' progressive experience in the civil engineering field, including transportation and municipal infrastructure 6 or more years of progressively responsible transit experience or equivalent Working knowledge of federal transportation project processes and requirements. Working knowledge of transitway project development. Working knowledge of MMUTCD and Highway Capacity Manual Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, GeoPAK Drainage, HydroCAD, P8 and GIS Must possess a valid driver's license and their own transportation. You will be reimbursed for business-related travel Salary Range:

$68,000 - $120,000 depending on years of experience and credentials Bolton & Menk is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to specific geographic location.
