to join our commissioning team. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated
Commissioning Engineer
to join our commissioning team. This role reports to the Commissioning Manager and will help ensure the quality and performance of our mechanical and plumbing systems. The ideal candidate has a strong background in mechanical and plumbing systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Responsibilities
Support the commissioning process to ensure that mechanical and plumbing systems are installed, tested, and operational according to project specifications. Collaborate with project managers, field teams, third-party commissioning agents, and other contractors to achieve successful commissioning. Observe, test, and verify systems and equipment prior to the Commissioning Agent's visit. Read and interpret design documents and specifications, with a strong understanding of operations and controls. Travel to different project locations within the DMV region as required. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, HVAC, or a construction-related field and 4+ years of experience in MEP systems commissioning, testing, or a related field. Commissioning Certification (BCxP, CxA, CxT, CCP, etc.) preferred, not required. Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and control systems; familiarity with diagnostic tools and testing equipment. Proficient in reading and interpreting design documents and specifications, with focus on operations and controls. Ability to travel to project locations in the DMV region as required. About VMG
